Extraordinary mansion in Amsterdam

This unique mansion in Amsterdam contains special heritage & history. A Dutch traditional mansion is often characterized by oblong rooms.

For us it is always a challenge to start off with a thought out lightplan which embraces natural light, contemporary fixtures and candle light. We wanted to create a warm and welcoming home. We made use of the classic shape and long length of the project and combined this with dashing colors and daring patterns.

A royal palet of tints off blue was used fitting the historic nature of the mansion like a glove.

The entrance immediately unfolds itself like a jewel. The neatly painted staircase is perfectly suitable for a red woolen carpet off the typically British brand Roger Oats.

The kitchen has been carried out with ‘The Hague’ blueish color and brass handles. By adding the brass plate and making use of walnut wood, a rich and warm atmosphere was created throughout the house. Small details and family pieces give the whole a specific and personal signature. The chic dining table and chairs with chandelier ‘the Leonie’ (an original Stock Dutch Design) hanging above, makes this picture complete.

A Carrera marble was chosen for the bathroom in a hexagon form. The enriched wallpaper creates the perfect background for the ancient mirror.
