‘The Vechtstreek’ owes her name to the rustic winding river ‘The Vecht’ with on both shores 17th and 18th century country estates. A unique region with a mesmerizing scenery and dito architecture.

The beauty of this region is best to be admired when one is floating in the river on a boat or ferry: a range of green landscapes and pittoresk villages, decorated by magnificent castles, country houses, elegant tea domes and typical Dutch authentic windmills.
